Brattleboro is a census-designated place (CDP) corresponding to the densely populated core of the town of Brattleboro in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 8,289 at the 2000 census. ==Geography== The CDP consists of the eastern portion of the town, adjacent to the Connecticut River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 25.8 km² (9.9 mi²). 24.7 km² (9.5 mi²) of it is land and 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it (4.22%) is water.
